What is the locus of control?

Locus of control refers to your perceived source of control within your own life. It’s a concept developed by a guy named Rotter. Rotter devised a scale to measure the degree to which people feel that their lives are under their control. The scale is measured along a line from external high to internal high. External high refers to those people who see their life as being in the hands of other people, and as such can do little to control things. Tall inner people, by contrast, see themselves as the ones in control of their lives.
