Why do we need to clean our crystals? There are two reasons; The first is that we need to cleanse the physical dirt and dust from our exciting new crystals. New crystals often have dust from being in a store or market stall that needs to be removed. Second, we also need to cleanse them energetically. What does this mean? You need to remove the energy that other people have left in the crystal, because when you buy a crystal, it has probably been tampered with by many other people.

Here are eight ways to cleanse your crystals:

1. breathing
When you first purchase your crystal, one of the simplest methods of instant cleansing is to hold the crystal in your hands and then, with the intention of cleansing it, gently blow your breath on the crystal. While doing this he is adding his life force energy or prana to the crystal and this will remove or nullify all energy left by other people; of course this will not remove physical dirt and dust.

two. Water
Most crystals can be washed under running water. A word of caution, there are crystals that can dissolve in water, some examples are selenite, kyanite, and azurite, or any of the soft crystals. For these, you can use a damp cloth to wipe off physical dirt. Some books will tell you that you need to use sea water or spring water, but sometimes this is not possible, so use the purest water you can, with little or no chemicals. It is also recommended that you regularly wash physical dirt off all of your crystals. Sometimes this is forgotten if you use the sunlight or moonlight cleaning option.

3. Sunshine
Place your crystals in the morning sun to energize and cleanse them. A word of caution, crystals like amethyst and fluorite will fade if left in the sun too often for too long. It is also a good idea to cover the crystals with a piece of netting so that birds do not take them away.

Four. Moonlight
Place your crystal outside on a full moon to infuse them with lunar energy. Lunar energy is a gentle feminine energy, so this is a very gentle form of cleansing. It is also a good idea to cover them with a piece of netting so that nocturnal animals do not take them away.

5. cleansing of the land
Another popular method is to bury the crystal in the ground. Some say this is the only way. There are some precautions with this method, remember where you bury them and don’t bury them too deep. Sometimes you will never find them again as Mother Earth will claim them. A good way is to bury them in a pot so they can be found easily. You will need to rinse them when you dig them up, as they will have dirt on them.

6. staining
Native cultures have used white sage for cleansing for many years and it is a very effective method of cleansing many crystals at once. If you have a large collection, it would take you all night to bring them out in the moonlight. You can diffuse them with a stick of white sage or white sage incense. Light your incense or smudge stick and spread the smoke over your crystals. Sandalwood incense is also a good cleanser. If you don’t like these fragrances, almost any incense will help you cleanse your crystals. You can also use resin on a charcoal block, frankincense, myrrh, or a special glass cleaning mix are all good options. By using resin and charcoal blocks, you can close the door to a room and make the entire room at once.

7. Reiki
If you have been attuned to Reiki, you can use Reiki energy to cleanse crystals. If you are a Reiki level 1, simply hold the crystals in your hands and with intention send Reiki healing to your crystals. For level 2 practitioners, use your Reiki symbols on your crystals and then send Reiki to them.

8. other crystals
Flat amethyst clusters are excellent for setting other crystals; Just leaving your crystals on the amethyst for a few hours will cleanse them energetically. Geode clusters and clear quartz are also great to use.

No matter which method you use, the important thing to remember is to do something and cleanse all of your crystals both physically and energetically on a regular basis. Always clean them after a cure or after you have used them on yourself.
