We thought we’d give you a look inside Rocketman’s power ratings ahead of championship weekend in college football. Let’s do it Rocketman style! We’re going to list our Top 20 along with their rating, and then we’ll talk a little bit about the BCS and their ratings.

Those are my top 20 teams in College Football as of right now. You would have to agree with the BCS ratings with Ohio State and Southern Cal being the top two teams right now. The only thing is, Southern Cal still has to travel to UCLA this weekend, where I think they’re going to have a big game. If you want to play that game, I highly recommend UCLA! One thing you can see is that Michigan is back in ninth place in my power ratings. One of the reasons is that Michigan played a Ball State team all the way and that affected their grades big time. Also, only two ACC teams made it to the Top 20 and one of them placed 20th. The ACC’s performance was very poor this year. Boise State is still perfect and ranks 6th in my ratings. Two additional upsets are BYU at #7 and Hawaii at #8. These two teams have crushed their opponents down the stretch. What would they do against some of the biggest powers? You may be surprised. Another surprise is that you don’t see Florida in my Top 20 even though they are in the Top 5 in the polls. I think Arkansas is driving them this weekend. You don’t see Auburn in my grades either. Auburn is not a great team this year. In my opinion, they don’t deserve 11th place in the polls.
