Observe how the child interacts with other children. Do caregivers make sure things keep running smoothly?

Do other parents come and go without following procedures on how to do this safely in the facility? They should have to login successfully. A child must be received and carried according to the established rules. You don’t want to see just anyone walking in and picking up a child without any setup protocol. Pay attention to the process to make sure everyone does it the same way. Ask questions about their policies. A lax policy is insecure and a bad sign.

What are you feeding your child? Are you prepared correctly? Ask to see the kitchen. Find out about the rules that exist regarding snacks and meals. How many caregivers are there for the number of children during the lunchtime routine? You want to know that your child has access to good quality food and you want to make sure the children are being monitored during this time. A level of cleanliness is something else you want to notice. Is the place clean?
All of these things are important for you to look at when you look at a nursery. It’s worth spending some time observing how your child interacts with others. You also want to see what caregivers are doing to make sure your child stays happy and safe. You are likely to leave your child in a daycare in good conscience when the facility is maintained, and you see caring employees taking care of the children.
